Clare Morin is a writer, a content and creative strategist, and a meditator and student of Buddhism. She was born in a mill town in the north of England and at the age of two was transplanted to Hong Kong. In this post-colonial city, Clare spent the first half of her career as a writer, editor and cultural events organizer for HK Magazine, the South China Morning Post newspaper, Time Out Hong Kong and Asia City Media. Then she married an American drummer and builder of wooden homes, and in 2009 they moved to the forests of Maine.
Since landing in the U.S., Clare has led innovative content marketing programs for Fortune 250 organizations, marketing agencies, cultural institutions and a handful of remarkable artists and writers. At the heart of everything Clare does is her meditation practice. She has been studying Kadampa Buddhism for the past 20 years and for the past 14 years has taught weekly meditation classes in Portland as a volunteer with KMC Boston. One day, she hopes to wake up.
